The last year has been an incredible journey. From a massage therapy career standpoint, the year was a huge success. It was a success because of the amazing TREE of LIFE clients. You supported all my ideas and supported the amazing staff that worked as part of the TREE of LIFE team.
At Christmas, my husband and I started to re-evaluate why I became a massage therapist. I remember starting out on this path so I could be a mom balanced with a career that I enjoy. My mom and wife roll took a backseat to the business in 2015, and my family struggled in my absence.
That said, over the next few months, I will begin scaling back the team and begin working collaboratively with my good friend and massage therapist, Shawna Tucker. Together, we will be running our own independent businesses in the same space, sharing ideas, sharing clients, and sharing the workload that comes with running a business. Shawna is one of the most amazing, compassionate massage therapists in Albuquerque. She is excited to rebuild her massage company, SaLT of the Earth Massage Therapy.
We will also be adding an independent esthetician to the collaborative team. After years of struggling with acne myself... and a few too many days spent sunbathing in my college years... skin care has become a huge part of what I do to take care of myself. The face is the first impression and with so many skin care products out there, it is helpful to have an expert help you down the path of a good skin care routine. Once arrangements have become final, I will announce further details!
Thank you for all your support over the last year. Mostly, the changes will be behind scene and you may not even notice. I will only be seeing 15 clients a week, so you may need to plan ahead for your next massage. My hours will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8am - 5pm and Thursday from 8am - 2pm. Once 15 clients are scheduled, the week will be closed for online scheduling.
Thanks for reading my long note! Blessings!
